Despite Herrera\u2019s past remarks about Barron, Donald Trump appeared to brush aside the comments when announcing his endorsement on March 11 on Truth Social<\/a>. \u201cBrandon Herrera has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Representative from Texas\u2019 23rd Congressional District \u2014 HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!\u201d Trump wrote.<\/p>\n On a February 2024<\/a> episode of his podcast, Herrera joined co-hosts in ridiculing then-17-year-old Barron Trump. One co-host referred to Barron<\/a> as a \u201clong ventriloquist-like,\u201d while another said Donald Trump\u2019s son \u201clooks like a bully.\u201d The YouTuber quipped that Barron is \u201clike nine feet tall\u201d and \u201cstarting to become a meme,\u201d before making a mocking voice imitating him: \u201cDaddy is coming, Daddy is angry.\u201d<\/p>\n Furthermore, the gun rights advocate, who describes himself as an \u201cabsolutist,\u201d had also cast doubt on Trump\u2019s political future. On an August 2023<\/a> podcast, Herrera questioned whether Trump could win back the White House, stating, \u201cI just don\u2019t know if he can carry the actual election.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite his skepticism about Trump\u2019s electability, Herrera acknowledged he \u201creally enjoyed Trump\u2019s presidency.\u201d Meanwhile, criticizing the president\u2019s<\/a> record on gun policy, saying Trump \u201cmessed up a lot of stuff as far as like guns and things.\u201d<\/p>\n Now, the endorsement comes after Rep.
