I am grateful to every American who cares about the future of Ukraine, Europe, and everyone around the world for whom freedom matters,” he said.<\/p>\n

The presidents also discussed the current situation on the battlefield in Ukraine and ongoing diplomatic efforts. Zelenskyy stressed that Washington’s resolve will be crucial to ending the war and announced that he and Trump had agreed to meet during the NATO summit.<\/p>\n

“There is a real chance to end the war, and America’s determination will be decisive. We agreed to continue our conversation in person at the NATO summit in Ankara,” the head of the Ukrainian state said.<\/p>\n
