Google co-founder Larry Page has become one of the few people in the world with a fortune exceeding $300 billion after a strong rally in Alphabet’s stock significantly boosted his wealth.<\/p>\n
According to Forbes’ real-time billionaire rankings, Page’s estimated net worth rose to $301.7 billion after Alphabet shares gained nearly 4% on July 15, following another day of gains. The stock’s upward move reportedly added around $8 billion to his personal fortune.<\/p>\n
The latest surge came after Berkshire Hathaway Chairman Warren Buffett spoke positively about Alphabet during an interview with CNBC, admitting that he should have invested in the company much earlier than he did.<\/p>\n
Buffett revealed that he personally backed Berkshire Hathaway’s decision to initiate a position in Alphabet last year. While describing the company as one of the strongest businesses in the market, he acknowledged that missing the opportunity to invest sooner was a mistake. At the same time, Buffett reiterated that Apple continues to rank among Berkshire’s most valuable long-term investments.<\/p>\n
Berkshire Hathaway first disclosed its Alphabet investment in late 2025 with the purchase of more than 17.8 million shares. The conglomerate later expanded its holding by acquiring another 40 million shares, taking its total ownership to nearly 58 million shares. Based on current market prices, that stake is now valued at about $21 billion.<\/p>\n
The rise in Alphabet’s valuation reflects growing investor optimism around the company’s artificial intelligence strategy and its expanding cloud and digital advertising businesses.
