Alexander Kazakov\/Pool Sputnik Kremlin via AP<\/p>\n<p>Russian authorities claimed the victims were killed by falling debris from the drone, accusing Ukraine of attacking \u201ccivilian infrastructure, according to Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev.<\/p>\n<p>However, several local media outlets reported that the unmanned aircraft crashed after it was jammed and shot down by Russian air defenses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt would be strange to see such an aerial tumble during a standard operation based on faulty coordinates,\u201d Kirill Mikhailov, a Russian military analyst,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.com\/world\/russia-ukraine-war\/article\/ukraine-drone-russia-black-sea-beach-resort-f0276058h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">told Agentstvo, per The Times<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Veniamin Kondratyev said 17 people were taken to hospital with injuries, and called the incident a targeted attack by the Kyiv regime.
