Photo for illustrative purposes. News1

Jensen Huang, chief executive of Nvidia (NVDA), the world’s most valuable company by market capitalization, has been named the top CEO in a ranking based on reviews by U.S. employees. Having built Nvidia into a global powerhouse on the back of the artificial intelligence boom, Huang now commands overwhelming support from his workforce as well.

Huang topped the “Top 50 CEOs for 2026” list released by U.S. jobs platform Glassdoor on the 14th, with a 99% employee approval rating. The ranking was compiled from anonymous reviews left by employees, rather than assessments by companies or experts.

Nvidia employees described Huang as “a dynamic and authentic leader,” “a real leader with vision” and “a rock star.” Second and third place went to the CEOs of car wash franchise Quick Quack Car Wash and medical device maker Stryker, each with a 93% approval rating. In the tech sector, the list included ServiceNow’s Bill McDermott (13th), Bloomberg’s Vlad Kliatchko (35th) and Apple’s Tim Cook (37th).

The survey covered U.S. companies with more than 1,000 employees that had secured at least 75 verified reviews between May of last year and May of this year.

Why Employees Trust Jensen Huang While Big Tech Cuts Jobs

Analysts say the strong support for Huang is tied to Nvidia’s steep growth. Huang, who co-founded Nvidia in 1993, pushed GPUs beyond graphics chips for gaming and developed them into technology capable of handling large-scale computation. As the generative AI boom took hold, Nvidia’s GPUs became core equipment in AI data centers, and the company rose to become the world’s most valuable by market capitalization.

Nvidia’s approach stands in contrast to recent moves by Big Tech firms that have cut jobs one after another, citing expanded AI investment and cost reduction. While companies such as Meta and Microsoft carried out large-scale layoffs in the name of reorganization and efficiency, Nvidia has instead expanded its workforce in step with its growing AI business.

That is not to say Nvidia has never made large-scale cuts. It sharply reduced headcount amid funding difficulties in its early days, and during the 2008 global financial crisis it cut about 6.5% of its total workforce. Since then, it is understood to have largely avoided major restructuring.

“They’d Follow Him Up a Mountain”: Jensen Huang’s Corporate Culture

The company’s culture is also seen as contributing to employees’ strong trust in Huang. A university professor who interacted with Nvidia employees in overseas business settings said they had “never seen a single employee say anything bad about Huang,” expressing surprise at the workers’ devotion.

Rather than maintaining the complex reporting structures of a traditional large corporation, Nvidia has emphasized a culture of sharing information across the entire organization and making quick decisions. Huang personally sets the direction for technology and business and shares it with employees.

Above all, analysts say the company’s growth and job stability have boosted employees’ trust. Unlike tech companies, where large-scale workforce turnover driven by market shifts is common, Nvidia has been able to offer employees long-term growth opportunities as its AI and GPU businesses expanded.

Overall assessments of U.S. corporate management, meanwhile, have deteriorated. According to Glassdoor, employees’ ratings of senior management this year fell to 3.5 or below out of 5, the lowest level since 2017. Against that backdrop, Huang’s unusual 99% approval rating has drawn further attention to Nvidia’s corporate culture.

Nvidia scored highly not only for its CEO but also for the company itself. It ranked third on Glassdoor’s “Best Places to Work” list, ahead of Google (11th), Micron (59th) and Apple (77th).

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang exchanges fist bumps with employees at Hyundai Motor Group’s Yangjae headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul,…

[149
84610,10694,8147,84609,84608,574,575
post-188510","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-jensen-huang","tag-best-places-to-work","tag-big-tech-layoffs","tag-corporate-culture","tag-employee-approval-rating","tag-glassdoor-top-ceos-2026","tag-jensen-huang","tag-nvidia
["GET
