For a while it seemed like all the news about Jeff Bezos had to do with his marriage to former journalist Lauren S\u00e1nchez Bezos. Then, the news started focusing on his charitable contributions<\/a> in comparison to ex-wife Mackenzie Scott<\/a>, and his new business endeavors as well as his remaining Amazon ties. Now, Bezos is making news for another reason.<\/p>\n

Reportedly Bezos has just bought a six-bedroom, 17,000-square-foot penthouse condo at the Aman Beverly Hills, a new super-luxe residence and hotel complex close to Rodeo Drive. It’s set to be ready in 2028.<\/p>\n

The price hasn’t been made public, but the twin unit to the one Bezos bought is listed at $200 million. That would make it the most expensive condo ever sold in L.A. by about five times. The condo has 22-foot ceilings, a private cinema, gym, multiple kitchens, yoga decks and a rooftop with a 65-foot swimming pool and Jacuzzi. It also includes access to the hotel-resort next door, which boasts a spa, restaurants, high-end shops and a 10-acre botanical garden.<\/p>\n

Bezos and his new wife live in a mansiont in Miami, Florida, that was reportedly worth $237 million. So the price tag for this new apartment doesn’t feel out of the question.<\/p>\n

“For privacy reasons, Aman does not disclose the identities of buyers of Aman Residences,” a company publicist told <\/a>THR<\/a>. And a source also told the outlet that Bezos had not made the purchase.<\/p>\n

The outlet reports that there are, of course cheaper units to be bought. A 3,600-square-foot, two-bedroom condo on a lower floor costs about $20 million.<\/p>\n

Of course, Bezos can more than afford the top floor. He still owns around 9% of Amazon<\/a>, the company he founded in 1994 and his net worth is $230.2 billion.<\/p>\n

Reports about this possible new home for Bezos and his new wife come amid speculation that there are already issues in his marriage<\/a>. In January 2026, right after the two spent the Christmas holidays together, sources told Hollywood insider Rob Shuter that the billionaire has had a “hard time keeping up with his boundlessly energetic wife.”<\/p>\n

“Lauren’s energy is non-stop,” one source told Naughty But Nice<\/a>. Describing how the couple spent the holidays last year, the source added, “She was jumping, dancing, laughing \u2014 and Jeff was hanging on for dear life. He looked wiped.”<\/p>\n

Lauren S\u00e1nchez Bezos is only about six years younger than her husband. She is 56 years old and he is 62.<\/p>\n

Another insider explained that while Bezos is “happy” with S\u00e1nchez Bezos, “he’s clearly worn out trying to match her.”<\/p>\n

Perhaps a new home will give them a place to relax together. Or not.<\/p>\n
