Da Costa, giving it his all to try and secure the teams’ title for Jaguar and the drivers’ title for Mitch Evans, achieved the first half of his goal.<\/p>\n

Bitter towards his rival, the now two-time world champion seemed genuinely surprised by the turn of events, despite a palpable sense of joy beneath the frustration. “I think Antonio spent 20 laps trying to ruin my race, driving alongside me, slowing down, pushing me against the walls, braking in front of me, and just trying to spoil my race and my championship,” added the Porsche driver. ” Jake Dennis was even able to overtake me because of it. And yes, once we caught up with the group, I think it was Mitch in front of him, he went for the outside. I knew it was a move I had to try, to go around the inside.
