Long yields obliged: the 30-year closed down 9 basis points at 5.196% and the 10-year fell 5.7 basis points to 4.647%. If the 30-year cannot hold below 5% while the government is actively bidding for its own paper, the signal is that the marginal buyer wants more compensation.
