Fox News<\/a> host Jessica Tarlov<\/a> served up strong rebuttals of various claims Vice President JD Vance<\/a> made about homeownership, President Donald Trump<\/a> and the so-called \u201cfraudsters and criminals\u201d in the Democratic Party at a Friday rally in his hometown.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got a lot of work to do, but we\u2019re finally seeing that American dream of homeownership become accessible again to our young people,\u201d Vance declared Friday<\/a> in Middletown, Ohio.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe that this November … we\u2019re going to face a choice,\u201d Vance continued.<\/a> \u201cDo we demand that our government serve us and our children rather than fraudsters and criminals? Do we demand that the American president fight for the American people first?\u201d<\/p>\n

Tarlov, the sole liberal on the conservative panel discussion show \u201cThe Five<\/a>,\u201d was discussing an apparent progressive shift<\/a> in the Democratic Party<\/a> before targeting Vance\u2019s talking points during Friday\u2019s show.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe says we\u2019re finally seeing the American dream of homeownership accessible again to young people,\u201d she said<\/a>. \u201cThe average age of homeownership just hit 40 years old in this country. Mortgage rates are up. Construction is down … That\u2019s directly related to the war in Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump launched the war in February,<\/a> and Iran responded with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz<\/a>, through which a fifth of the world\u2019s oil passes. The resulting rise in fuel prices has reportedly<\/a> led to skyrocketing shipping costs for construction materials.<\/p>\n

A CNN-SSRS survey<\/a> released last month showed 66% of U.S. adults disapprove of how Trump is doing his job \u2014 and that 70% disapprove of how he\u2019s handling the economy.<\/p>\n

Tarlov noted \u201c70% of Americans say Donald Trump<\/a> isn\u2019t focused on lowering costs, doesn\u2019t care about people like me, and 70% say that he has businesses influence how he makes political decisions. He\u2019s made $2.2 billion. JD Vance is describing his own government.\u201d<\/p>\n

A 927-page disclosure form released in June showed Trump made more than $1 billion in cryptocurrency ventures<\/a> last year, including nearly $600 million in income from World Liberty Financial \u2014 which he co-founded with his sons \u2014 and made at least $2.2 billion in total<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe \u2018fraudsters and the criminals,\u2019\u201d Tarlov said. \u201cAnd Americans will vote based on that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Co-host Greg Gutfeld<\/a> countered Tarlov\u2019s mention of fraud by praising the work of the now-defunct Department of Government Efficiency<\/a>, arguing it was specifically created to root out wasteful public spending.
