{"id":202170,"date":"2026-08-26T00:50:30","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T00:50:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/202170\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T00:50:30","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T00:50:30","slug":"denmarks-prime-minister-blasts-unsolicited-beauty-advice-from-plastic-surgeon-on-instagram-taylorville-daily-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/202170\/","title":{"rendered":"Denmark\u2019s prime minister blasts unsolicited beauty advice from plastic surgeon on Instagram \u2013 Taylorville Daily News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) \u2013 Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen is fed up with getting unsolicited beauty advice.<\/p>\n<p>The 48-year-old wrote Monday on Instagram that she had just returned back home from a trip to Ukraine, where she was exposed to air raid sirens in the ongoing war, only to find a message by a plastic surgeon offering her to \u201cfix that little spot on your nose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve lost count of how many messages I\u2019ve received over the years about my appearance,\u201d Frederiksen wrote. \u201cEspecially that I have ugly teeth and thin hair. That I have an ugly \u2018wart\u2019 on my nose and well-meaning advice to get some Botox.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister of the Nordic country posted a screen shot of the plastic surgeon\u2019s offer on Instagram but without identifying him. <\/p>\n<p>She also posted her response: \u201cOh no. I\u2019m happy with my body \u2013 I really don\u2019t need a male plastic surgeon to have an opinion about it!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Frederiksen, a Social Democrat and Denmark \u2018s second female prime minister, is now in her third term, making her one of Europe\u2019s longest-serving and most experienced leaders. She has led the European Union and NATO member country since mid-2019.<\/p>\n<p>She has pledged to maintain a firm stance against U.S. President Donald Trump\u2019s ambitions for Greenland, the kingdom\u2019s semiautonomous territory, and continue supporting Ukraine against Russia\u2019s war of aggression. <\/p>\n<p>On Instagram, Frederiksen stressed that she does not interfere with other people\u2019s looks and that \u201cI\u2019m perfectly fine with my body \u2013 as it is when you\u2019re a woman approaching 50.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added that \u201cif you\u2019re going to write to me (and you\u2019re more than welcome to), I hope you\u2019ll use your time to talk about something more meaningful.
