Google on Wednesday introduced Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, its latest artificial intelligence models aimed at software engineering, reasoning and cybersecurity.<\/p>\n
The launch comes three weeks after Gemini 3.7 Flash and marks Google’s third Flash release in six weeks, the company said.<\/p>\n

The model is available at the same introductory price as Gemini 3.7 Flash, at $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens.<\/p>\n On the DeepSWE v1.1 benchmark for long-horizon software engineering, Google said Gemini 3.8 Flash outperforms most larger frontier models in autonomously solving complex engineering problems end to end.<\/p>\n Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber is focused on vulnerability detection and automated patching. Google said the model produced 2.6 times more correct patches for vulnerabilities than larger models in evaluations involving real Chrome security bugs.<\/p>\n Google CEO Sundar Pichai said Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber scored 86.2% on the CyberGym industry benchmark and 47.2% on CWE-Bench for patching.<\/p>\n He also said the model recorded a success rate of more than 70% in discovering vulnerabilities across 20 programming languages on Google’s internal benchmark.<\/p>\n Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber will be available to trusted defenders through Google’s Fairwind programme, with government agencies and cybersecurity partners also getting access, Pichai said.<\/p>\n Beyond benchmarks, we\u2019re seeing impressive real-world use cases. The model also outperformed Gemini 3.7 Flash and other frontier models on the Vals Finance Agent V2 and Harvey’s Legal Agent Benchmark, Google said. It scored 54.9% on HLE-Verified, which tests multi-step reasoning across STEM, humanities and professional fields.<\/p>\n
