The Secret Service said Tuesday it is aware of a propaganda video<\/a>released by Iranian media that appears to threaten Barron Trump and reference a $10 million bounty on President Donald Trump’s youngest son.<\/p>\n

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” agency spokesperson Nate Herring told HuffPost in a statement. “Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”<\/p>\n

The video was released over the weekend by Iranian state broadcaster IRIB, whose head is directly appointed by Iran’s supreme leader. It opens with the title,\u00a0“Where to kill Barron Trump?”<\/p>\n

The video shows graphics purporting to show where Barron Trump is known to spend time, including at Trump Tower in New York and in college dorms. It also details the youngest Trump’s relationships and activities\u00a0\u2014 as well as his security’s movements.<\/p>\n

The video claims the 20-year-old is “fully monitored,” and, according to CNN<\/a>, suggests people were\u00a0“eagerly waiting to receive our $10 million reward.”<\/p>\n

The White House did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment.<\/p>\n

The video comes after Iranian media released a similar one last month<\/a> threatening Melania Trump, showing the first lady in a motorcade and around New York City. The graphics point to some designer stores while the video says they could be\u00a0“suitable for operations by global freedom fighters.”<\/p>\n

“This is just the beginning,” the video ends.\u00a0“Barron Trump, wait for us.”<\/p>\n

The threat against Barron Trump is notable, as he has kept the lowest profile<\/a> out of all of the president’s children. The college student has occasionally appeared with his parents at higher-profile events like last year’s Inauguration Day and this summer’s UFC fights at the White House<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While concerns about Iranian plots against U.S. officials have been around for decades, public threats escalated against Donald Trump and his family since the president ordered the airstrike that\u00a0killed Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani<\/a> in 2020.<\/p>\n

The threats increased again when he launched his ongoing unpopular war against Iran earlier this year and ordered the joint U.S.-Israeli operation that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei<\/a>. The war and Khamenei’s assassination have prompted a surge of anti-American messaging throughout Iran.<\/p>\n

“They want to take out the U.S. leader\u00a0\u2014 me,” Trump told reporters last month, referring to Israeli intelligence reportedly warning<\/a> of an Iranian plot.<\/p>\n

“I’m on whatever list. I saw this morning I’m on every single one of their lists,” he continued. “And so far, I guess I’ve been a bit lucky, but maybe that doesn’t last very long.”<\/p>\n

Trump made those comments at a NATO summit in Turkey, where he\u00a0snuck out of the country<\/a> on a secret plane instead of Air Force One<\/a> after learning of an Iranian threat against him.<\/p>\n
