Democrats<\/a> are gearing up to crash the GOP<\/a>\u2019s midterm convention in Dallas<\/a> next week, sending their top messengers to highlight the affordability crisis and their own agenda for 2026.<\/p>\n

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries<\/a> (D-NY) and the Democratic National Committee announced Friday counterprogramming plans to the GOP\u2019s two-day confab.<\/p>\n

Jeffries is sending four members of his Democratic caucus \u2014 Oversight ranking member Robert Garcia (D-CA) and Reps. Jason Crow (D-CO), Madeleine Dean (D-PA), and Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-CA) \u2014 to Texas.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While there, the members will \u201cengage with everyday Americans who are drowning in the Republican economy, publicly highlight broken GOP promises, discuss the cost of living crisis and continue to expose the Trump Cartel corruption,\u201d a press announcement says.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile swing seat House Republicans try to hide from their record of raising costs on working families, gutting Medicaid to fund tax breaks for billionaire donors and supporting a reckless war of choice in Iran, House Democrats will be present to hold them accountable,\u201d Jeffries said in a statement. \u201cAmericans are drowning in the failed Republican economy. Rather than taking a single step to lower costs, MAGA extremists are partying with their super rich donors in Dallas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the DNC is set to hold a press conference on Wednesday morning, the first day of the convention. Both Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL) and Texas Democratic Party Chairman Kendall Scudder are scheduled to speak.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The announcement from the DNC claims the speakers will remind voters that \u201cTrump and Republicans are the reason why families are unable to pay their bills.\u201d<\/p>\n

While national Democrats plot their in-person appearances, progressive research organization American Bridge is launching a satirical website<\/a> mocking the convention.<\/p>\n

The website, shared exclusively with the Washington Examiner, jeers that attendees of the event will \u201clearn how to gaslight and avoid voters\u2019 tough questions\u201d and that the agenda is \u201ccarefully crafted to give you every tool you need to stay loyal to Trump no matter the cost to the people you represent \u2014 and how to blame Biden when all else fails.\u201d<\/p>\n

MELANIA TRUMP HAS NO PLANS TO ATTEND RNC\u2019S MIDTERM CONVENTION<\/a><\/p>\n

The Republican National Committee is expected to feature a total of 109 items and speakers across both nights of the convention, including speeches from both President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

RNC Chairman Joe Gruters said in a previous statement announcing the RNC\u2019s programming schedule that \u201cOver two action-packed days, we will take Americans through the defining issues of our Party\u2019s agenda and what is at stake in November.\u201d<\/p>\n
