Amid today’s divisiveness and partisan discord, his measured and principled approach offers a glimmer of hope for a truly independent and impartial Court. Our country needs more public servants like him.

Clancy trial

A hung jury and a mistrial? Mental health is a problem, but no a reason or excuse for such brutal crimes. I’ll blame the woke Massachusetts mindset on this one. You can see the guilt on her face, but what you don’t see is remorse. If this were a man, it would have been over on Day 1.

Enough, already

President Trump now suggests renaming New Mexico “New America.” Please, Mr. President, focus on inflation, high gas and grocery prices, and your dysfunctional administration. Aside from distracting Americans from your blundering dictatorship, why are you so obsessed with renaming things? Don’t you realize that you cannot Make America Great Again simply by renaming things to Make America Big Again (MABA)?

He’s not OK

If this were someone we loved, like an aging parent or grandparent, we would be having one of the hardest conversations a family can have. We would want to know if they were eating, if they were keeping up with basic hygiene, or if they were even capable of taking care of themselves in that way. We would also be asking if they understood what they were doing when they picked up their phone and shared 60 images of themselves commanding robot armies and detonating nuclear explosions from outer space.

Democrats

Why are Democrats running for office telling the former VP to stay away from their campaigns? Gavin Newsom is in the Carolinas telling Democrat voters that capitalism doesn’t work. It obviously worked for him, look at California and the failures of leadership at the top all while owning more and paying less. Trying to please socialist candidates is sucking all the top name Democrats in D.C. to join or get out. The best results? Not one Democrat remaining in Washington DC. Running on affordability is great, but with no solutions, it’s a joke.

Best and brightest?

Be honest. Is Pete Hegseth the best person to lead our military, especially when we are at war?

Labor Day

I know I’m too late, but Labor Day is special. It’s our notice for the reduction of humidity. We can actually enjoy our coastal life. The love bugs are a sure sign. This fall will be beautiful. Enjoy.

Send your Sound Offs to soundoff@sunherald.com.

President Donald Trump shakes hands with Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts after he was sworn in during…

[146
535
post-220430","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-john-roberts","tag-john-roberts
["GET
