He further added that America\u2019s history of innovation should guide its approach to AI making sure that the technology is harnessed for broad social benefit.<\/p>\n<p>Sundar Pichai highlighted real-world applications of AI<\/p>\n<p>Pichai highlighted how AI is already reshaping industries:* Medical research \u2014 accelerating progress toward life-saving cures.* Education \u2014 enabling teachers to personalize lessons for students.* Emergency response \u2014 improving wildfire tracking and disaster management.He also pointed to consumer-facing innovations such as self-driving cars, recalling his father\u2019s first ride in a driverless vehicle in San Francisco as \u201cmagical.\u201dWhile optimistic about AI, Pichai also acknowledged the challenges which includes workforce disruption and the need for retraining programs. He believes that regulation and investment in workforce training as critical steps. \u201cI\u2019m optimistic. Not because I believe in technology, but because I believe in people and the sheer power of American ingenuity,\u201d he said.It is also important to note that AI boom is also straining infrastructure. US tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet are facing pushback over water use, land requirements, and energy consumption for new data centers. Some projects have been delayed or canceled.
