TEMPO.CO, Jakarta –\u00a0President Prabowo Subianto<\/a> is set to outline Indonesia\u2019s stance on global peace during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron<\/a>. The agenda was confirmed by Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya.<\/p>\n

According to Teddy, Prabowo is scheduled for a one-on-one session with Macron at the Elysee Palace. The dialogue between the two leaders will not only focus on bolstering bilateral ties but also serve as a vital platform for Indonesia to share its strategic perspectives on shifting global dynamics.<\/p>\n

“In this meeting, in addition to strengthening cooperation with the French government, the President will convey Indonesia’s commitment to maintaining stability and promoting world peace,” Teddy stated in a written release on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.<\/p>\n

Prabowo Subianto continues his state visit in Paris following intensive discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Prabowo landed in Paris late Monday night, April 13, 2026, at 11:50 p.m. local time.<\/p>\n

“After a five-hour intensive meeting with President Putin at the Kremlin, the President immediately departed for France. Following a 3.5-hour flight, he arrived in Paris at midnight,” Teddy noted.<\/p>\n

Teddy explained that the marathon session between Prabowo and Putin underscores the seriousness of the Indonesia-Russia strategic partnership, particularly regarding energy, mineral resources, and national industrial growth.<\/p>\n

During the bilateral talks with President Putin, President Prabowo remarked that Russia has consistently backed Indonesia\u2019s essential needs across several strategic sectors.<\/p>\n

“In several aspects of great importance to Indonesia, President Putin has stood by us and provided support for Indonesia’s needs,” Prabowo told Putin at the Kremlin on Monday, April 13, 2026, as seen on the Presidential Secretariat\u2019s live YouTube broadcast.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Prabowo noted that his Moscow visit was intended to facilitate consultations on the international landscape. “I also came to consult because the global geopolitical situation is developing and changing at a very rapid pace,” Prabowo added.<\/p>\n
