Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, accompanied him throughout the visit and introduced the company\u2019s business layout. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/weixin.qq.com\/sph\/AXzM5WTheK\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/weixin.qq.com\/sph\/AXzM5WTheK\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The visit<\/a> not only demonstrated the deepening technological cooperation between China and Spain, but also highlighted the growing global influence of Chinese tech companies.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Spain-visit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-196457\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Guided by Lei Jun, Prime Minister S\u00e1nchez toured the Xiaomi exhibition hall and experienced several of the company\u2019s latest innovations, including the Xiaomi SU7 and YU7 smart vehicles, as well as Xiaomi AI glasses.<\/p>\n<p>During a test drive of the YU7, S\u00e1nchez showed strong interest in the vehicle\u2019s integration with smartphones, asking in detail about its driving range and advanced driver-assistance features. <\/p>\n<p>Upon learning that Xiaomi plans to begin overseas deliveries of its vehicles in 2027, with Europe as the first destination, he remarked on the spot: \u201cThe Spanish market is ready to welcome Xiaomi cars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/xiaomi-car.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-196458\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Xiaomi\u2019s business in Spain spans multiple sectors, including smartphones, smart home devices, and the automotive value chain. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Xiaomi\/status\/2043723333435584890\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Xiaomi\/status\/2043723333435584890\" rel=\"nofollow\">Omdia<\/a>, Xiaomi ranked No. 1 in Spain\u2019s smartphone market in 2025 with a 30% market share.<\/p>\n<p>Lei Jun also said Xiaomi\u2019s collaborations with local Spanish companies, including its co-developed high-end imaging technology with Leica and the joint development of a smart ecosystem with local supply chains.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00e1nchez personally tried the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica edition smartphone and took a selfie with Lei Jun, joking that it was \u201cthe best testament to China-Spain technological cooperation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/xiaomi-pm-selfie.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-196459\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>S\u00e1nchez\u2019s visit marks the fourth trip to China in four years and is a key part of his current itinerary.
