{"id":33557,"date":"2026-04-19T22:48:32","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T22:48:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/33557\/"},"modified":"2026-04-19T22:48:32","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T22:48:32","slug":"anthropic-ceo-to-visit-white-house-over-pentagon-lawsuit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/33557\/","title":{"rendered":"Anthropic CEO To Visit White House Over Pentagon Lawsuit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"block core-block\">Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei plans to visit the White House on Friday to meet with President Donald Trump&#8217;s top adviser in an effort to resolve the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/topic\/anthropic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">company\u2019s ongoing lawsuit <\/a>with the Pentagon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">Amodei is meeting with White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Axios <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2026\/04\/17\/anthropic-trump-administration-mythos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reported.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">The company filed a lawsuit in March, after the Pentagon formally notified the artificial intelligence company that its products pose a risk to the U.S. supply chain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">Despite the lawsuit, the government is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/markets\/tech\/26\/04\/51875646\/trump-anthropic-feud-mythos-federal-agencies-access-fears\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reportedly considering granting<\/a> federal agencies access to Anthropic&#8217;s advanced AI model &#8220;Mythos.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">In an email on Tuesday, Gregory Barbaccia, CIO at the White House Office of Management and Budget, said that the department is preparing safeguards to give agencies access to Mythos.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">This will reportedly be a modified version of the advanced AI model. The email did not specify a timeline for the rollout.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">Mythos was announced earlier this month. It is part of Anthropic\u2019s \u201cProject Glasswing,\u201d which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/markets\/private-markets\/26\/04\/51694390\/anthropic-teams-with-apple-microsoft-and-nvidia-to-test-latest-cybersecurity-tech\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">allows select organizations<\/a> to access the unreleased Claude Mythos Preview model.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">&#8220;It would be grossly irresponsible for the U.S. government to deprive itself of the technological leaps that the new model presents. It would be a gift to China,\u201d a source close to negotiations told Axios.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">This is the second time that Amodei has met with White House officials.
