President Donald Trump\u2019s granddaughter<\/a> is facing backlash after sharing a YouTube video documenting a trip to a luxury grocery store with her Secret Service detail.<\/a><\/p>\n

The YouTube video, \u201cI Brought My Secret Service to Erewhon,\u201d follows 18-year-old Kai Trump as she shops at an Erewhon, which she described as \u201cthe most expensive grocery store pretty much out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The teen, whose family is worth more than $6 billion<\/a>, joked that she was \u201cabout to go like bankrupt\u201d and would need to \u201cfile for bankruptcy\u201d while browsing at the Los Angeles supermarket.<\/p>\n

Trump bought a variety of items, including Hailey Bieber\u2019s viral \u201cStrawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie,\u201d which sells for $21, a bottle of lavender lemonade and a package of sushi. She also picked up vitamins, a bottle of Ophora Hyper Oxygenated Water, and a tray of hot food, among other items.<\/p>\n

When Trump left the store, she was seen getting into a black SUV with her security detail nearby. She brought the haul back to a hotel room, where she reviewed each item and revealed the grand total.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of this costs $233, for one grocery bag,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

YouTube commenters were quick to hit out at the president\u2019s granddaughter, suggesting her video was out of touch.<\/p>\n

One YouTube user commented: \u201cTitle might be the most tone deaf thing I’ve ever read.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cProbably one of the most out of touch video titles ever,\u201d another user wrote.<\/p>\n

The video also caught the attention of users on X, with some criticizing her video in light of the ongoing conflict with Iran.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour kids might get drafted to fight in Iran, while the Trump family uses your tax dollars to shop premium, organic, gluten free cake,\u201d the Lincoln Project wrote on X.<\/a><\/p>\n

Democratic strategist Mike Nellis called<\/a> her video a \u201cmodern-day ‘let them eat cake’ moment.”<\/p>\n

Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, posts regularly on her YouTube channel, which has garnered more than 1.4 million subscribers. She\u2019s expected to head to the University of Miami later this year to play for the school\u2019s golf team.<\/p>\n

The teen has said she wants to become a professional golfer, and it appears she\u2019s already started making money off her brand. A report released last year estimated that she\u2019s secured multiple name, image and likeness deals totaling more than $1 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n
