{"id":34044,"date":"2026-04-20T07:57:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T07:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/34044\/"},"modified":"2026-04-20T07:57:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T07:57:12","slug":"france-summons-elon-musk-over-x-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/34044\/","title":{"rendered":"France summons Elon Musk over X investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Billionaire Elon Musk has been summoned for a voluntary interview in Paris on Monday as part of a French investigation into his social media platform X, although it is not yet known whether he will attend, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.az\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">News.Az<\/a> reports, citing <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.afp.com\/en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">AFP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>French authorities first issued a summons for <a href=\"https:\/\/news.az\/news\/musk-confirms-teslas-ai5-chip-is-ready\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Musk<\/a> in February as part of a probe launched in January 2025 into allegations that X\u2019s algorithm was used to interfere in French politics.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation was later expanded to include claims involving X\u2019s AI chatbot Grok, particularly its alleged dissemination of Holocaust denial content and sexual deepfakes.<\/p>\n<p>In early February, French prosecutors searched the Paris offices of X.
