Virginians voted Tuesday to redraw<\/a> their state\u2019s congressional map, approving a ballot measure to give Democrats as many as four additional seats. Republicans are flipping their lids.<\/p>\n

Fox News commentator Laura Ingraham called<\/a> the result a \u201cTotal travesty!!\u201d on X, while MAGA pundit Juanita Broaddrick said<\/a>, \u201cNo fucking way this is legit.\u201d Right-wing troll Phillip Buchanan, known as Catturd on X, said<\/a>, \u201cWhat a fcking joke.\u201d<\/p>\n

Republican politicians also went into hysterics, with House Speaker Mike Johnson accusing<\/a> Democrats of showing \u201chow far they will go to break the law, \u2018wage warfare,\u2019 and disenfranchise millions of voters in order to force their unwanted, radical agenda down the throats of every American.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former Trump Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin took a shot at President Obama, who had thanked<\/a> Virginia voters for \u201cshowing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDisenfranchising millions of voters and forcing 45% of Virginians to be represented by 1 congressional district and 55% represented by 10 is now \u2018standing up for Democracy.\u2019 Is that \u2018equity\u2019?\u201d McLaughlin complained<\/a> on X. \u201cWhat a farce.\u201d<\/p>\n

Islamophobe and Donald Trump confidant Laura Loomer also blamed Obama.<\/p>\n

\u201cDemocrats are stealing Virginia, compliments of Barack Hussein,\u201d Loomer posted<\/a>. \u201cVirginia is about to become uninhabitable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Conservatives started this fight last year when Trump started pushing<\/a> Republican-led states to redistrict in order to save his neck from a Democratic Congress. Trump said that Texas Republicans were \u201centitled to five more seats,\u201d and the state\u2019s GOP obliged<\/a>. Republicans in Missouri<\/a>, North Carolina<\/a>, and Ohio<\/a> all followed suit.<\/p>\n

Democrats fired back first in California<\/a>, and now they have won a 51\u201349 percent vote in Virginia in a rebuke to Trump and the Republican Party.
