Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, a decorated Navy SEAL veteran, has called on Barron Trump to join the military.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo something your father didn\u2019t have the patriotism to do,\u201d Ventura, 74, said Tuesday on Piers Morgan Uncensored<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ventura, who served on an elite Navy SEALs unit during the Vietnam War, slammed President Donald Trump\u2019s three-week-old war with Iran, which has claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service members and injured hundreds more.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow can you send somebody else\u2019s kids to a war if you won\u2019t send your own?\u201d said Ventura, who is also a WWE Hall of Famer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a simple thing as a leader, and you know this having been in the military\u2014Trump wouldn\u2019t know it because he\u2019s a draft dodging coward…it\u2019s this: A war is justified if you\u2019re willing to send your kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump, 79, never served in the military, and in fact avoided the draft on five occasions, the last of which owed to a bone spur diagnosis.<\/p>\n

Barron, 20, is living at the White House while attending New York University\u2019s D.C. campus. He would be of draft age if a draft were authorized by his father and Congress.<\/p>\n

Ventura voluntarily enlisted in 1969 after graduating high school, and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, the Navy Expeditionary Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Medal for his service.<\/p>\n

He said he was \u201ccalling on\u201d Barron to break family tradition and serve in the armed forces: \u201cI want to see a Trump in the military.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter all, he\u2019s had three wives, he\u2019s had kids by each wife, and nobody\u2019s ever served in the military,\u201d Ventura said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell Barron, you can change that. Enlist in the United States military right now, do something your father didn\u2019t have the courage to do, do something your father didn\u2019t have the patriotism to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

None of the president\u2019s children\u2014Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany, and Barron\u2014have served in uniform, and neither did his father, Fred Trump.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s paternal grandfather, Frederick Trump, born Friedrich Trump, escaped Germany\u2019s mandatory military service<\/a> when he immigrated to the U.S. He was later stripped of his German citizenship after authorities found out he had dodged the draft.<\/p>\n

Ventura said he\u2019d heard the excuse that Barron, at 6-foot-9, is too tall to serve.<\/p>\n

#SendBarron began trending nationwide and the website DraftBarronTrump.com went up after Trump launched his deadly war on Iran. \/ DraftBarronTrump.com<\/p>\n

\u201cUh-uh!\u201d Ventura said, pointing out that 7-foot-tall NBA Hall of Famer David Robinson once served on active duty in the Navy.<\/p>\n

\u201cCome on Trumps! Don\u2019t just reap the benefits of this free world. Somebody put on the uniform, and that\u2019s you Barron!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

After the self-styled \u201cPeace President\u201d launched his war on Iran and dismissed U.S. military deaths as \u201cthe way it is,\u201d #SendBarron began trending nationwide.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, former South Park writer Toby Morton created DraftBarronTrump.com<\/a>, a website calling on the young Trump to be sent to war.<\/p>\n
