<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\tAfter a gunman rushed past a security checkpoint and into the lobby near the White House Correspondents\u2019 Dinner Saturday night in Washington, D.C., Florida politicians responded to the incident that included President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and other top members of the Trump administration that were in attendance.President Trump, Vice President Vance and other top officials were ushered out of the ballroom of the Washington Hilton Hotel as the suspect, later identified as Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of Torrance, California, was restrained by law enforcement officials in the lobby.A U.S. Secret Service agent was injured after a bullet hit his protective vest. Trump, Vance and other members of the Trump administration at the event were uninjured.According to the Associated Press, Allen was uninjured but was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation.REP.
