Bill Gates appears to have a buyer for another property on his massive lakeside compound in Medina, Wash, a Seattle suburb.<\/p>\n
A midcentury house adjacent to his 66,000-square-foot, high-tech mansion known as Xanadu 2.0, on Lake Washington, was put on the market in early February for $4.799 million. And by mid-February, the listing, handled by Kim Florence of John L. Scott Real Estate, showed that a sale was pending. Ms. Florence did not respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n
Mr. Gates, who co-founded Microsoft in 1975, began assembling his residential compound in the late 1980s, buying up various homes and parcels in an apparent effort to maintain privacy. He purchased the house that is now likely under contract for $1 million in 1995, about a year after marrying Melinda French Gates. Over the years, several renovations took place there, according to property records, including the addition of an expansive deck.<\/p>\n
The 2,780-square-foot house sits on 0.4 acres. It has four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, along with sweeping views of the lake, and from a distance, the Olympic Mountains and Seattle skyline.<\/p>\n
In 2024, Mr. Gates sold another four-bedroom midcentury house on a slightly larger lot that was part of the compound for $4.85 million. That property also found a buyer within just a few days.<\/p>\n

The nearly 2,700-square-foot condominium, with a $20 million price tag, sits atop the hotel, where prices per night this summer start at around $1,200.<\/p>\n
The unit has three bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom, and a powder room. There are also two living rooms, a media room and den, and a 2,164-square-foot terrace with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Little Narragansett Bay. The outdoor amenities feature a kitchen with a grill, a lounge area, bathroom and a gazebo with temperature-controlled flooring.<\/p>\n
