\n\tAlthough the White House Correspondents\u2019 Dinner was cut short due to a shooter, guests still walked the red carpet at the annual event on Saturday night. The Daily Show<\/a> sent Triumph the Insult Comic Dog<\/a> as their correspondent and Robert Smigel-voiced character used the opportunity to roast everyone from Pete Hegseth<\/a> to Robert Kennedy Jr. to Karoline Leavitt<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn the clip, aired on The Daily Show last night, Triumph takes aim at the guests and the event itself, which he describes as \u201can annual gathering of the press, or in tonight\u2019s case fondly remembers, free speech.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tTriumph first speaks to a few actual news correspondents, including CNN\u2019s Sara Sidner and Fox News\u2019 Peter Doocy. \u201cWhat a night, no comedians,\u201d Triumph says to Doocy. \u201cWe don\u2019t need comedians. We have a mentalist. And do you think Trump\u2019s going to tell some jokes, like how he won the Iran war and how gas prices are going down?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMost of the people Triumph chats with don\u2019t actual respond to his jokes, including Sean Duffy and Cheryl Hines. \u201cCheryl, what\u2019s special about this night other than it\u2019s the only celebrity party you\u2019re invited to anymore?\u201d Triumph asks a horrified Hines. Her husband RFK Jr.<\/a> refuses to acknowledge Triumph as he shouts, \u201cBobby, please Bobby! Can I see my brother one last time? He\u2019s in your freezer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTriumph also jokes about Hegseth\u2019s drinking problem, Leavitt no longer having a soul, and Kash Patel doing cocaine. \u201cYou can tell that some of the most powerful people in Washington are here tonight because all of the escort services have switched to surge pricing,\u201d Triumph quips. <\/p>\n

\n\tOn Monday night, Triumph appeared on<\/a> The Daily Show to recount his experience at the event, which was cancelled when it was\u00a0interrupted by a shooter<\/a>. Donald and Melania Trump were rushed off the stage inside the Washington Hilton ballroom and evacuated, and many journalists shared their experiences ducking and hiding. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWere you worried about getting killed?\u201d Jon Stewart asked Triumph on Monday. \u201cYes,\u201d Triumph replied. \u201cBut mostly because I didn\u2019t want RFK Jr. to eat my carcass.
