Every once in a while, even the richest man in the world can use a little help from his friends.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s exactly what\u00a0Elon Musk\u00a0got when TKO Holding Group CEO and executive chairman of WME Group\u00a0Ari Emanuel\u00a0showed up at an Oakland courthouse for opening statements in Musk\u2019s two-day-old trial against\u00a0Sam Altman\u00a0and OpenAI on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Dressed in a white shirt and blue blazer, Emanuel could be seen chatting with Musk\u2019s attorney\u00a0Steven Molo\u00a0before entering the courtroom where he listened to opening statements and then watched as Musk testified.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not OK to steal a charity. That\u2019s my view,\u201d Musk told U.S. District Judge\u00a0Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers\u00a0and the jury after explaining the role he played as a co-founder of OpenAI which was formed in 2015. Musk sued OpenAI\u2019s Altman and\u00a0Greg Brockman\u00a0for breach of contract when they changed the startup\u2019s status from a non-profit to a for-profit venture.<\/p>\n

As Page Six Hollywood\u00a0detailed<\/a>\u00a0yesterday, several high-profile entertainment industry figures, including Emanuel, are playing supporting roles in the high-stakes trial.<\/p>\n
