OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Berkshire Hathaway shareholders got their first look at merchandise featuring new CEO Greg Abel during the company\u2019s annual shareholder weekend.<\/p>\n
The exhibit hall at CHI Health Center opened with products bearing Abel\u2019s image, marking a shift for the event that has traditionally featured former CEO Warren Buffett, who retired in December.<\/p>\n
Abel now appears on signs, candy, rubber ducks and as a Squishmallow plush toy.<\/p>\n
Sara Rosales, senior vice president of communications for Jazzwares, said Abel saw his Squishmallow for the first time this morning.<\/p>\n
\u201cGreg just saw his squishmellows this morning and thought that Greg looked good,\u201d Rosales said. \u201cHe now is joining the ranks of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger who were immortalized as squishmellows as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Returning visitor Cindy Lamb said the changes were noticeable.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of different people, it\u2019s laid out differently from last year,\u201d Lamb said.<\/p>\n
First-time visitor Mike Ostblom said the event drew him in.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe wanted to come see the big thing. We\u2019ve lived here our whole life and have never been able to come,\u201d Ostblom said. \u201cWe went to Dairy Queen and had a Dilly Bar. Got some things at the Furniture Mart, and got some Christmas presents \u2014 it\u2019s never too early to start thinking about Christmas presents.\u201d<\/p>\n
The exhibit hall opens again Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
