Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/a> arrived in Armenia on May 3, where he held several meetings focused on ending the war, accelerating the disbursement of EU loans, and strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses.<\/p>\n

“The first day of meetings and talks in Armenia ahead of the European Political Community Summit was dedicated to our coordination with European partners. There are three key priorities,” Ukraine’s leader wrote on social media.<\/p>\n

According to him, the first priority is to bring a dignified end to the war closer. Zelenskyy briefed partners on the state of diplomacy, possible prospects, and planned contacts.<\/p>\n

“We need joint efforts to intensify diplomacy and prevent any reduction in pressure on the aggressor. Russia must end this war. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine,” he said.<\/p>\n

The second priority is the implementation of a \u20ac90 billion European support package for Ukraine, particularly, its acceleration.<\/p>\n

Finally, Zelenskyy said the third priority is to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses, ensure energy support, and expand cooperation with partners in the energy sector.<\/p>\n

“We are already actively preparing for the next heating season and diversifying relevant support. I outlined all the needs for protection and recovery. I thank every partner willing to help,” the president concluded.<\/p>\n

Today, on May 3, the media reported that Zelenskyy held talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer<\/a>. They discussed defense support (including contributions to the PURL program), energy, and peace initiatives.<\/p>\n

The president also met with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo<\/a>. Zelenskyy thanked Finland for its decision to allocate an additional $300 million in defense support for Ukraine and proposed strengthening bilateral cooperation by signing an agreement under the Drone Deal framework.<\/p>\n
