Omarosa Manigault Newman doesn\u2019t think Donald Trump Jr. has what it takes to replace his father as host of a potential reboot of \u201cThe Apprentice.\u201d<\/p>\n
But there is one Trump family member who does fit the bill, she told CNN\u2019s Erin Burnett this weekend.<\/p>\n
Politics: Wall Street Is Reportedly Mocking Trump With A New 5-Letter Nickname<\/a><\/p>\n And that is… Ivanka Trump.<\/p>\n \u201cThe reason \u2018The Apprentice\u2019 worked and it was so successful was because Donald Trump was a businessman who had all these different avenues, from his golf courses to his hotels,\u201d said Manigault, a former \u201cApprentice\u201d contestant-turned-Trump White House adviser-turned-Trump critic.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat will Don Jr. talk about in terms of his business successes?\u201d she continued. \u201cOf course, he\u2019s worked for his father, but I don\u2019t know that he\u2019s had his own individual success.\u201d<\/p>\n Ivanka Trump, though, said Manigault, has \u201ca different level of charisma,\u201d\u00a0\u201cgood business acumen\u201d and is \u201creally sharp in the boardroom.\u201d<\/p>\n Politics: Trump Says U.S. Will Reduce Number Of Troops In Germany ‘A Lot Further’ Than Withdrawal Of 5,000<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cBetween the two of them, I would choose Ivanka as the host if the show actually came back,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n Manigault and Burnett agreed the president himself offered only a lukewarm response<\/a> to reports his eldest son could take over the show, which Amazon is reportedly considering reviving, and suggested he\u2019d be far more enthusiastic if his eldest daughter was in the mix instead.<\/p>\n Manigault ended with \u201ca little-known fact\u201d involving Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), whose term as the Sunshine State\u2019s governor ends in January 2027, who she claimed told her during \u201ca random conversation\u201d at Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago resort that he had once tried out for the show.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s going to be out of a job soon.
