\u2014 that is, against city vendors who also do business with federal immigration authorities.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an obvious prelude to imposing <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/12\/us-news\/anti-defamation-league-flunks-mamdanis-100-day-tenure-over-antisemitism\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions policies <\/a>on New York City.<\/p>\n<p>Politico reports that the Mamdani\u2019s minions are auditing contracts that the NYPD, the Corrections Department and four other city agencies have with surveillance-tech companies such as Vigilant Solutions and Securus.<\/p>\n<p>Mamdani flack Sam Raskin says it\u2019s just a review of agency \u201cpolicies, guidelines and procedures\u201d as \u201crelated to federal immigration enforcement\u201d\u00a0\u2014 but adds: \u201cWe will share more soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The idea comes straight from the left-wing Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, which urged a vendor review in December.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>STOP obsesses about \u201cpolice spying\u201d and wants  the mayor to dismantle all NYPD \u201csurveillance\u201d capabilities, everything from its gang databases to drones, license plate readers and facial-recognition tech.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tMore From\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPost Editorial Board<\/p>\n<p>And exploiting anti-ICE fury is simply a pretext.<\/p>\n<p>STOP claims that the NYPD\u2019s contracts with Vigilant etc. enable \u201cbackdoor access\u201d for ICE to city data, but it has no such evidence: The city Department of Investigation has flagged a few instances of <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/08\/25\/how-nypds-facial-recognition-software-ided-subway-rice-cooker-kook\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">prohibited information-sharing<\/a>, but they involved individuals, not contractors \u2014 and had nothing to do with ICE.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGet opinions and up!\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Yet City Hall might play along, seeing this as a politically safe way to undermine policing and to punish businesses that do legitimate business the feds \u2014 and to pursue other agendas. <\/p>\n<p>Next would come similar \u201cconcerns\u201d about vendors who do any business with, say, the Israeli Defense Force \u2014 you know, because \u201cinternational law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>STOP\u2019s claims are hysterical nonsense, but progressives will happily exploit its disinformation and anti-ICE obsessions to forward their larger agenda.<\/p>\n<p>They feel
