He urged Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei to release enough information about Mythos so institutions can study the vulnerabilities and develop plans to manage them, Banking Dive reported.<\/p>\n<p>                                                                                                                                            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Mythos_galleryfull.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"187\" style=\"border: 0px solid ;\" alt=\"Mythos\" title=\"Mythos\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Anthropic has said Mythos was designed to identify and eventually patch software flaws, but Amodei acknowledged the model creates a \u201cmoment of danger\u201d because it can expose vulnerabilities before they are fixed. GovInfoSecurity reported Amodei said Mythos has found nearly 300 Firefox vulnerabilities and \u201cthousands\u2014probably by now tens of thousands\u201d more behind closed doors, with only a small share disclosed because most remain unpatched.<\/p>\n<p>Federal Reserve Vice Chair for Supervision Michelle Bowman has also flagged the issue, saying at a Financial Stability Oversight Council AI roundtable that Mythos shows how rapidly AI capabilities are evolving and that, while the model could help firms strengthen cybersecurity, it could also be used maliciously to identify and exploit weaknesses.
