Anthropic itself has cautioned the system could be misused and has limited deployment to a small test group of companies.

Reuters reported that ECB banking supervisors have already begun questioning eurozone banks about their preparedness for a new generation of AI-driven cyber threats, while the European Commission said earlier this week it had been briefed by Anthropic on Mythos’ capabilities and is assessing potential implications for EU regulations and policy. Lagarde added that a state-sponsored attack would be more likely given the substantial computing power required to operate such systems.

                Section: Standard
Word Count: 297
Copyright Holder: CUToday.info
Copyright Year: 2026
Is Based On:
URL: https://www.cutoday.info/Fresh-Today/ECB-Developing-Countermeasures-Against-Potential-Mythos-Driven-Attacks

FRANKFURT, Germany—The European Central Bank is studying how to defend against potential cyberattacks powered by Anthropic’s AI model…

[141
448,38113,38115,38116,7801,38114
0":"post-64907","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-christine-lagarde","8":"tag-christine-lagarde","9":"tag-cms","10":"tag-content-management","11":"tag-development-framework","12":"tag-e-commerce","13":"tag-publish
["GET
