Donald and Melania Trump recently took part in a White House event to honor military moms as Mother\u2019s Day approaches. He expressed his gratitude toward her and complimented her by saying, \u201cI want to thank you, Melania. Amazing job you have done and most importantly, and most importantly to her, she\u2019s done an incredible job as First Lady.\u201d<\/p>\n

The businessman-turned-politician continued, \u201cShe\u2019s an incredible mom. She has a little boy who\u2019s quite tall. He\u2019s a little boy to us, but he\u2019s quite tall, right? And he\u2019s great, Barron. And uh, she takes great care of him.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Donald Trump\u2019s praise of Melania was making the rounds on the internet, users were focused on his remark on Barron. Many users slammed him for using \u201cshe\u201d instead of \u201cwe\u201d as he talked about their son at the event.<\/p>\n

A user on X (formerly Twitter)<\/a> went on to comment, \u201cSo Barron isn\u2019t your son?!? This is some tea that you just spilled.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another user took a jibe at him for the remark and wrote<\/a>, \u201cAlways \u2018she\u2019 never \u2018we.\u2019 It\u2019s a running theme.\u201d Moreover, a user named Grandma Democrat<\/a> slammed his statement, asserting, \u201cTrump talks like he wasn\u2019t involved in that process, and it\u2019s not the first time he\u2019s said that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yet another X user commented<\/a>, \u201cHe always says She has a boy and\u2026 Weird he always says that isn\u2019t it??? And not We\/Our boy\u2026\u201d Meanwhile, some netizens were also amused by Trump referring to his son Barron as a \u201clittle boy,\u201d given that the latter is 20 years old.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s not a \u2018little boy.\u2019 He\u2019s in college. A grown a** man. Send him to the military, just like our young men,\u201d quipped<\/a> a user. Furthermore, another added<\/a>, \u201cHe\u2019s 20 years old! Does she still spoon-feed him and change his diapers?\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, neither Donald Trump nor his wife, Melania, has yet responded to the backlash for his comments.<\/p>\n
