WASHINGTON (TNND) \u2014 President Donald Trump is scheduled to undergo another medical checkup this month as part of his annual physical and routine preventive care, according to the White House.<\/p>\n
Administration officials said he will visit doctors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on May 26. It will mark his fourth visit to medical experts since returning to office. Trump turns 80 on June 14.<\/p>\n
Trump commented on his health Monday during an event on maternal healthcare, saying he feels the same as he did 50 years ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel literally the same,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t know why. It\u2019s not because I eat the best foods.\u201d<\/p>\n
Last week, he also joked about his exercise routine, saying he works out \u201clike about a minute a day, max.\u201d<\/p>\n
Following an annual physical in April 2025, Trump\u2019s physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, said the president was \u201cfully fit\u201d to serve as commander in chief <\/a>and noted he was 20 pounds lighter than during a 2020 checkup that showed him bordering on obesity.<\/p>\n Several months later, Trump underwent another evaluation after experiencing mild swelling in his legs and bruising on one of his hands. Tests found he had chronic venous insufficiency<\/a>, a common condition in older adults that causes blood to pool in the veins.<\/p>\n At the time, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the bruising on the back of Trump\u2019s hands\u2014sometimes covered with makeup\u2014was caused by irritation from frequent handshaking<\/a> and aspirin use. Trump takes aspirin to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.<\/p>\n
