Counterterrorism official Sebastian Gorka claimed President Donald Trump has written “precise instructions” that would be given to JD Vance should he die while still in office.<\/p>\n
President Trump is said to have created a confidential note with further instructions for JD Vance and placed it in the Oval Office, with orders that it only be opened if Trump dies while serving, Gorka revealed in an interview on “Pod Force One.”<\/p>\n
“There is a letter in the drawer in the Resolute Desk that is addressed to the vice president, should something happen to him,” Gorka said, in the context of explaining why he doesn’t fear Trump’s visit to China and more assassination attempts. “That is the language of power that nations like China, Iran, and Russia understand,” Gorka told The Post’s Miranda Devine.<\/p>\n
“So no, for both of those reasons, the President, in my estimation, is very safe.” The other reason Gorka mentioned was that, “everybody wants recognition from this man,” according to the counterterrorism head.<\/p>\n

The counterterrorism director pointed out that, “The president has said it on camera, sitting behind the Resolute desk. The letter is there.”<\/p>\n
“We have protocols, trust me. Not ones I can discuss, but we have protocols.” Gorka added.<\/p>\n
Gorka also revealed that “within 90 minutes of another assassination attempt,” President Trump is “cracking jokes about it.” The former right-wing commentator who is now serving as senior director for counterterrorism added that, “you only do that out of love, in this case love of country.”<\/p>\n
When asked about Trump and preventing assassination attempts, that “the biggest problem we have in the Trump administration is keeping up with the commander in chief. It’s basically impossible.” He explains that when he and his colleagues leave their secure room and work phones behind and go on break, and check the news, “we say, oh my dear lord, what has he done now?” – like “peace treaty #8.”<\/p>\n

The shift in priorities acknowledges some simple math – more Americans have been killed by cartels pushing illicit drugs into U.S. communities than American service members lost in conflicts around the globe since World War II, Gorka claimed.<\/p>\n
According to Gorka and the report, the administration’s other counterterrorism priorities include: targeting and destroying Islamic military groups that have capabilities to execute operations against the United States; identifying and neutralizing violent secular political groups with ideology that is anti-American, radically pro-transgender or anarchist; and boosting efforts to prevent nonstate actors from obtaining weapons of mass destruction.<\/p>\n
