Nvidia (NVDA)<\/a> shares charged higher on Wednesday after CEO Jensen Huang unexpectedly joined U.S. President Donald Trump on his high-stakes trip to China.\u00a0<\/p>\n The late addition, confirmed after Trump personally called Huang and had him board Air Force One during a refueling stop in Alaska, has injected fresh geopolitical momentum into NVDA.\u00a0<\/p>\n Including today\u2019s gains,\u00a0Nvidia stock is up more than 35%<\/a> versus its year-to-date low in late March.\u00a0<\/p>\n Trump\u2019s visit<\/a> comes as Washington\u2019s export controls continue to restrict NVDA\u2019s most advanced artificial intelligence (AI) chips, while Beijing accelerates domestic alternatives.<\/p>\n Huang\u2019s presence raises expectations that Nvidia could play a visible role in any discussion around AI hardware access, export control flexibility, or pathways for US tech companies to operate more predictably in China.<\/p>\n Trump has already said his \u201cfirst request\u201d to Xi will be to \u201copen up\u201d China for U.S. firms, a message that directly intersects with Nvidia\u2019s blocked, government-approved AI chips that await clearance for sale in China.<\/p>\n While no breakthrough on export controls is expected, Huang\u2019s inclusion reinforces that Nvidia remains strategically indispensable to both sides.\u00a0<\/p>\n All in all, any constructive tone emerging from Beijing could ease the China-related overhang for NVDA shares.\u00a0<\/p>\n Oppenheimer Sees Further Upside in NVDA Shares<\/p>\n Nvidia shares are in focus this morning also because Oppenheimer maintained its bullish view on the AI darling, citing continued dominance in AI compute.\u00a0<\/p>\n According to the firm\u2019s analysts, NVDA\u2019s free cash flow could hit $200 billion this year, with cash return \u201cspread between buybacks and seeding emergent artificial intelligence ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n If management chooses to use half of its FCF for dividends, Nvidia\u2019s yield would be nearly 2.5%, they added.\u00a0<\/p>\n Oppenheimer\u2019s \u201cOutperform\u201d rating comes with a $265 price target that signals potential upside of another 17% in this\u00a0AI stock<\/a> from current levels.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Nvidia Remains Buy-Rated Among Wall Street Firms<\/p>\n Other Wall Street firms also agree with Oppenheimer\u2019s constructive view on Nvidia.\u00a0<\/p>\n The consensus rating on NVDA stock sits at \u201cStrong Buy<\/a>\u201d currently, with the mean price target of about $269 indicating potential for another 20% upside from here.\u00a0<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/people\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/0t7ln4bz2xjoe6ss.png\")
