The banking giant is spending $2 billion annually<\/a> on infrastructure, data systems, and AI-powered automation to reshape everything from fraud prevention to investment banking and customer service.<\/p>\n

JPM\u2019s CEO, Jamie Dimon<\/a>, has even described AI as transformational as \u201cthe printing press, the steam engine, electricity, computing and the Internet<\/a>,\u201d something, he adds, that will affect \u201cvirtually every function, application, and process<\/a>\u201d in his company.<\/p>\n

This was up slightly from 317,233 employees in 2024, which is heartening news considering that corporate layoffs<\/a> have been a common outcome of AI adoption, with companies like Microsoft (MSFT<\/a>), Amazon (AMZN<\/a>), and IBM<\/a> (IBM) announcing alarming reductions in tech, customer service, and entry positions almost on a weekly basis.<\/p>\n
