A member of the U.S. delegation aboard Air Force One drew attention during Sean Hannity\u2019s \u201cHang Out with Sean Hannity,\u201d podcast when the host directly questioned Lara Trump<\/a> about her political future.<\/p>\n

According to Fox News, the episode was recorded aboard Air Force One while traveling to President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s summit in Beijing.<\/p>\n

Eric Trump describes the political climate<\/p>\n

Eric Trump told Sean that American politics is \u201ca dirty, nasty world,\u201d adding, \u201cPolitics is a dirty, nasty world and we\u2019ve seen the best of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sean then asked, \u201cHave you ever considered running? Do you think you might run?\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric replied that he \u201cwould never rule anything out,\u201d noting the interview was taking place aboard Air Force One en route to China for Donald\u2019s summit. He said he had \u201cno other role in this trip\u201d beyond accompanying his father.<\/p>\n

He also referenced the legal scrutiny facing the Trump family, telling Sean he had spent \u201csix months of courtrooms where people are trying to destroy you and your entire family.\u201d He added that anyone entering politics \u201cbetter have your family ready for it, because they\u2019re coming \u2014 and they\u2019re coming in ways you can\u2019t even imagine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric concluded that his thinking mirrored comments his father once made at a similar age, stating, \u201cIf it ever got so bad, I\u2019d throw my hat in the ring.\u201d He added that such a decision would depend on \u201call the other stars aligning,\u201d and whether \u201cyour spouse is ready for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sean turns to Lara<\/p>\n

When Eric mentioned the importance of a spouse being prepared for politics, Sean interjected, \u201cSpouse?\u201d and turned to Lara, now a Fox News contributor.<\/p>\n

Lara responded, \u201cIs that where I come in?\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cThere has never been a president like Donald Trump. There will never be another one like President Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sean then asked, \u201cBut you could be the first woman president.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lara echoed Eric\u2019s comments about the pressures of public life, saying the family had \u201cseen so many different sides of all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said they had experienced \u201cthe absolute nastiest and as bad as it can get,\u201d but argued the scrutiny had strengthened them, \u201cIf you continue to rub your hands, you\u2019ll get a callus. If you continue to beat somebody enough, you develop a thick skin.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that the Trump family had developed \u201csuch thick skin that I almost don\u2019t think there\u2019s anything they can throw at any of us\u2026 that we wouldn\u2019t be ready for or able to handle at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n
