MS NOW host Jen Psaki pushed back after Eric Trump threatened legal action over comments she made regarding his business ties and his appearance on President Donald Trump\u2019s trip to China.<\/p>\n

During a recent episode of The Briefing with Jen Psaki, the host questioned whether Eric\u2019s participation in the trip raised potential conflicts of interest. She cited a Financial Times report that ALT5 Sigma, a company tied to Eric, was pursuing a deal with a Chinese chipmaker to build U.S. data centers. Lawmakers have previously warned that the chipmaker has links to the Chinese Communist Party.<\/p>\n

Psaki said Eric is \u201csupposed to be sort of fire-walled off from any U.S. government activities because he took over the family businesses when his father re-entered the White House supposedly to prevent conflicts of interest<\/a>, but there he is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric Trump threatens to sue\"Jen<\/p>\n

Eric responded in a post on X, threatening to sue Psaki and MS NOW, denying any formal connection to ALT5 Sigma and rejecting claims of Chinese business interests.<\/p>\n

\u201cContrary to her monologue and blatant lies, I have NEVER been on the board of ALT5 \u2014 not now, not ever. Any person with basic access to Google and willing to open a company\u2019s annual report or proxy statements would know this,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

The president\u2019s son also said he has \u201chad zero involvement in any merger discussions involving any public entity I do not run or control\u201d and added, \u201cI have zero business interests in China. No properties, no investments, nothing!\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric said he joined the trip \u201cfor one reason: as a loving son who adores my father and wouldn\u2019t miss being by his side for this incredible moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Addressing the criticism<\/p>\n

Psaki addressed the criticism on air, saying Eric \u201cspecifically\u201d objected to being described \u201cas a member of the board\u201d of ALT5. She argued his response was \u201cconfusing\u201d because he was introduced as a board member during Nasdaq\u2019s opening bell ceremony in August 2025.<\/p>\n

A White House spokesperson told the Financial Times the president \u201conly acts in the best interests of the American public\u201d and that \u201cthere are no conflicts of interest.\u201d<\/p>\n
