Apple shares<\/a> were up nearly 0.2% in Tuesday\u2019s midday trade, a day after the stock hit a new 52-week high.<\/p>\n AAPL\u2019s Hardware Shake Up<\/p>\n Product design, a key part of Apple\u2019s hardware efforts, will now be overseen by Kate Bergeron\u2019s longtime deputies, Shelly Goldberg and Dave Pakula.<\/p>\n Bergeron will oversee product reliability across Apple\u2019s entire hardware portfolio. Goldberg already oversees product design for the Mac, while Pakula leads design efforts for the Apple Watch, iPad, and AirPods. Richard Dinh, a longtime deputy to John Ternus, will continue overseeing iPhone product design, the report added.<\/p>\n Bergeron will report to Tom Marieb, who succeeded incoming Apple CEO John Ternus as the head of hardware engineering.<\/p>\n Marieb will also continue overseeing several of Ternus\u2019 former direct reports, including Apple Watch engineering head Eugene Kim, electrical engineering chief Deniz Teoman, and Vision Products Group engineering lead Paul Meade, the report stated.<\/p>\n Tim Cook\u2019s Last WWDC As AAPL CEO<\/p>\n Apple\u2019s hardware team overhaul comes weeks before the crucial Worldwide Developers Conference next month, where the company will announce a slew of major software updates.<\/p>\n Apple is expected to announce iOS 27, macOS 27, an overhaul to its digital assistant Siri, and more at this year\u2019s WWDC. It will also be Tim Cook\u2019s last WWDC keynote as Apple CEO.<\/p>\n Cook is set to step down from his position in September this year, with Ternus taking over.<\/p>\n How Did Retail Traders React To AAPL?<\/p>\n Retail sentiment on Stocktwits around Apple trended in the \u2018neutral\u2019 territory, with message volumes at \u2018normal\u2019 levels at the time of writing.<\/p>\n One bullish user expects that AAPL stock will end Tuesday\u2019s trading session at $300 and $310 by the end of the week.<\/p>\n AAPL stock<\/a> is up 10% year-to-date and 43% over the past 12 months.
