This year, we expect that number to be about six times that, approximately $180 to $190 billion,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crn.com\/news\/security\/2026\/google-ceo-wiz-has-exceeded-expectations-so-far-gemini-enterprise-seeing-tremendous-momentum\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google\u2019s CEO<\/a> on stage in front of thousands of attendees this week at Google I\/O in California.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA key part of this investment is our custom silicon,\u201d said Pichai. \u201cAs we look across the full stack of innovation, from the infrastructure behind TPU 8i to the frontier capabilities of Gemini 3.5 and Antigravity, it\u2019s clear we\u2019re firmly in our agentic Gemini era.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From Google\u2019s new Gemini Omni and Gemini 3.5 Flash to the new Gemini Spark agent and Google Antigravity 2.0, Google\u2019s CEO weighed in on the new products launched at Google I\/O 2026.<\/p>\n<p>[Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crn.com\/news\/ai\/2026\/google-blackstone-new-ai-tpu-company-5-huge-anthropic-leadership-and-google-cloud-things-to-know\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google-Blackstone New AI TPU Company: 5 Huge Anthropic, Leadership And Google Cloud Things To Know<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p>        Google Cloud Partner On New Innovation<\/p>\n<p>Sanjay Singh, CEO of top-tier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crn.com\/news\/cloud\/2026\/google-cloud-s-6-big-execs-who-left-for-anthropic-openai-and-microsoft-in-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google Cloud<\/a> partner Onix, said the tech giant\u2019s new innovation is unmatched in the AI era.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crn.com\/news\/ai\/2026\/google-s-5-coolest-ai-products-and-gemini-innovation-in-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gemini<\/a> is basically the front door now to everything that happens on the Google stack, which is amazing,\u201d said Singh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe way Google\u2019s integrated stack is coming together\u2014from an agentic infrastructure, from a TPU perspective, from a model perspective\u2014makes a lot of sense,\u201d he said. \u201cThe way [Gemini] is now cutting across all products, data, Workspace, applications, agentic building, etc. is very useful for us and our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Singh highlighted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crn.com\/news\/cloud\/2026\/google-cloud-s-80b-run-rate-800-percent-ai-growth-and-462b-backlog-google-s-q1-earnings-key-results\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google Cloud\u2019s backlog<\/a> of roughly $462 billion as of second quarter 2026 as signs that the company is leading in the agentic era.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe market demand is there because there\u2019s a huge backlog already going into next year and they continue to grow at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crn.com\/news\/cloud\/2026\/aws-vs-google-cloud-vs-microsoft-azure-q1-earnings-face-off?page=3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">40 percent-plus per year<\/a>,\u201d Singh. \u201cThey continue to put a lot of money into the channels and the programs. They will continue to win in the data and the AI space.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over the past 12 months, over 375 Google Cloud customers have each processed more than one trillion tokens, \u201crepresenting incredible demand for AI from across industries,\u201d Pichai said. \u201cWe have some big announcements today around that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s six new Google products launched at Google I\/O 2026 that every partner and customer need to know about, along with insight from Pichai during his keynote.<\/p>\n<p>            <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"CEO on stage.jpg\" src=\".\/media_158d26f02f287182f0c97752c0c9e892bb2103587.jpg?width=750&amp;format=jpg&amp;optimize=medium\" width=\"1497\" height=\"998\"\/><\/p>\n<p>New Gemini 3.5 Is \u2018In A League Of Its Own\u2019<\/p>\n<p>One of the biggest launches at Google I\/O was Gemini 3.5 Flash, Google\u2019s first model that combine frontier intelligence with action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen compared to [Gemini] 3.1 Pro, 3.5 Flash is better across almost all benchmarks. It\u2019s made huge progress in coding,\u201d Pichai said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGemini 3.5 Flash is a very capable model, at the frontier and comparable to the best models, but it\u2019s still very fast. Which is why when you look at the intelligence versus output speed, it\u2019s in a league of its own,\u201d Google\u2019s CEO said. \u201cWhen looking at output tokens per second, it is four times faster than other frontier models.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pichai said the new model has been a \u201cgame changer\u201d for Google internally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve been using 3.5 Flash with a reimagined version of our agent-first development platform Antigravity, and it\u2019s dramatically accelerated how we build. In March we were processing half a trillion tokens a day internally across our AI developer tools, and we\u2019ve been doubling every few weeks,\u201d he said. \u201cNow, we\u2019re processing more than three trillion tokens a day. This scale created a powerful feedback loop helping us improve [Gemini] 3.5.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gemini 3.5 Flash is now available.<\/p>\n<p>            <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Gemini Omni.jpg\" src=\".\/media_109ef3bffac7a70ab85e13706dc3b7ecf82674dce.jpg?width=750&amp;format=jpg&amp;optimize=medium\" width=\"1497\" height=\"998\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Google Gemini Omni And Omni Flash<\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s CEO touted the launch of its new Gemini Omni model that can create anything from any input, which \u201cis a leap forward in world understanding,\u201d multimodality and editing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new model combines Gemini\u2019s intelligence with our generative media models \u2014 a huge leap forward in world understanding,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re launching the first model in the Omni family: Gemini Omni Flash.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said Gemini Omni is capable of generating samples in any output modality from any input. \u201cWe\u2019re starting with video outputs, and over time we\u2019ll enable image and text,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In Google\u2019s AI creative studio Flow, Gemini Omni allows user to blend real-world inspiration with generated content and iterate conversationally.<\/p>\n<p>Gemini Omni Flash is available starting today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll also be rolling it out to developers and enterprise customers via APIs in the coming weeks,\u201d Pichai said.<\/p>\n<p>            <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\".\/media_1707b52b3f63ed4a36c35983afb79def177a365ae.png?width=750&amp;format=png&amp;optimize=medium\" width=\"1497\" height=\"998\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Gemini Spark Agent<\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s new Spark agent is a personal AI agent in the Gemini app that helps users navigate their digital life and take action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt runs on dedicated virtual machines on Google Cloud. And it\u2019s 24\/7 so you don\u2019t need to keep your laptop open,\u201d said Google\u2019s CEO.<\/p>\n<p>Gemini Spark agent is powered by Gemini 3.5 and can integrate seamlessly with other Google tools as well as with third-party tools through model context protocol (MCP).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd you can work with Spark however is most convenient\u2014in the Gemini app or soon, through email and chat,\u201d Pichai said.<\/p>\n<p>Google is rolling out Gemini Spark to testers this week with the Beta coming to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. next week.<\/p>\n<p>            <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Antigravity 2.jpg\" src=\".\/media_1665a40f6ae4dcce995dced46cb38713c05b08055.jpg?width=750&amp;format=jpg&amp;optimize=medium\" width=\"1497\" height=\"998\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Google Antigravity 2.0<\/p>\n<p>Google unveiled a new version of its agent-first developer platform Antigravity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAntigravity is expanding beyond the coding environment, turning it into a platform to develop and manage cohorts of autonomous AI agents,\u201d said Google\u2019s CEO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis includes Antigravity 2.0, a new standalone desktop application that acts as a central home for agent interaction, where anyone can orchestrate agents for all sorts of tasks,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd we developed an even more optimized version of Flash: not just 4x but 12x faster than other frontier models.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s new Gemini 3.5 Flash model is now available to developers in Antigravity 2.0.<\/p>\n<p>Antigravity 2.0 acts as a central home for agent interaction, allowing users to orchestrate multiple agents to execute tasks in parallel.<\/p>\n<p>            <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\".\/media_1119e9ba762517071070414342983119b0dc77bc1.png?width=750&amp;format=png&amp;optimize=medium\" width=\"1497\" height=\"998\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Gemini for Science<\/p>\n<p>Gemini for Science is a collection of science tools and experiments designed to expand the scale and precision of scientific exploration.<\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s CEO said Gemini for Science brings together a number of AI tools to help accelerate scientific research.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBuilding on the deep reasoning and research capabilities of Gemini, as well as Deep Think and Deep Research, it includes new experiments on Labs as well as Science Skills to connect agentic platforms like Google Antigravity to over 30 major life science databases and tools,\u201d Pichai said.<\/p>\n<p>As part of Gemini for Science, Google also launched Science Skills, a specialized bundle that integrates insights from over 30 major life science databases and tools including UniProt, AlphaFold Database, AlphaGenome API and InterPro.<\/p>\n<p>Using these skills on agentic platforms like Google Antigravity, allows researchers to perform complex and often manual workflows\u2014like structural bioinformatics and genomic analyses\u2014in minutes rather than hours, according to Pichai.<\/p>\n<p>            <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\".\/media_12cc8943d92aff0b14d09850a4aefeefad696915e.png?width=750&amp;format=png&amp;optimize=medium\" width=\"1497\" height=\"998\"\/><\/p>\n<p>New Google TPU 8t And TPU 8i<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the first time, we\u2019ve taken a dual chip approach with specialized architectures for training and inference: TPU 8t and 8i,\u201d said Google\u2019s CEO during his keynote.<\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s new TPU 8t is optimized for training, designed for high-throughput AI workloads. It uses new Inter-Chip Interconnect technology to scale up to 9,600 TPUs and 2 petabytes of shared memory in a single superpod.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTPU 8t is optimized for large-scale pretraining, and it\u2019s nearly three times the raw computing power of our previous generation,\u201d said Pichai.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve taken a fundamentally different approach with our training infrastructure. \u2026 We can now seamlessly distribute training across multiple sites, scaling training across more than 1 million TPUs globally,\u201d he said. \u201cThis gives us the ability to create the largest training cluster in the world. For model builders, this means training larger, more capable models in weeks rather than months.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Looking at Google\u2019s new TPU 8i, the TPU is optimized for inference and reinforcement learning. TPU 8i uses a new Boardfly topology technology to directly connect 1,152 TPUs in a single pod.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTPU 8i is designed for inference. We have dramatically improved speed at every step.
