April 3 (UPI) — Vice President JD Vance is now the government’s fraud czar, according to President Donald Trump, and he will focus on “blue states.”<\/p>\n

“Vice President JD Vance is now in charge of ‘FRAUD’ in the United States. It is massive and pervasive, and the job he will be doing, in conjunction with many great people within the Trump Administration, will be a major factor in how great the future of our Country will be. We will call him the ‘FRAUD CZAR,’ and his focus will be ‘EVERYWHERE,’ but primarily in those Blue States where CROOKED DEMOCRAT POLITICIANS, like those in California, Illinois, Minnesota (Somalia beware!), Maine, New York, and many others, have had a ‘free for all’ in the unprecedented theft of Taxpayer Money. The numbers are so large that, if successful, we would literally be able to balance our American Budget. Raids have already started in L.A. Good Luck JD!” the president said on Truth Social<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Federal agents arrested eight people in Los Angeles Thursday for allegedly participating in a $50 million health care scheme, The Hill reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Vance lauded the arrest on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Our task force isn’t wasting any time cracking down on fraud. This morning in the LA area, federal law enforcement is taking down fraudsters who stole $50M+ from Americans by defrauding our healthcare and hospice systems,” he said.<\/p>\n

Vance began the position in February during an investigation into fraud<\/a> in Minnesota. Federal investigators said about $9 billion was stolen from the Minnesota Medicaid program.<\/p>\n

Vance also announced a new assistant attorney general position in January that initially was focused on Minnesota. He swore in Colin McDonald on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

“It is going to be a nationwide effort because unfortunately the American people have been defrauded in a very nationwide way,” The Hill reported Vance said in January.<\/p>\n
