Jimmy Kimmel wants Elon Musk to \u201cstay in [his] lane\u201d after criticizing Christopher Nolan\u2019s casting<\/a> of Lupita Nyong\u2019o in \u201cThe Odyssey.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the comedian\u2019s opening monologue on \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live\u201d<\/a> Tuesday, Kimmel discussed how the billionaire businessman and other \u201ctrolls\u201d have had to \u201ccome up with random stuff to complain about to distract us.\u201d<\/p>\n

He told viewers, \u201cElon Musk is now attacking Christopher Nolan, the film director, for the way he cast the movie \u2018The Odyssey.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The comedian (seen above on \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live\u201d) said \u201ctrolls\u201d like the billionaire businessman have had to \u201ccome up with random stuff to complain about to distract us.\u201d Jimmy Kimmel Live\/ Youtube<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s upset because Christopher Nolan hired Lupita Nyong\u2019o to play a character he believes should be played by a white woman,\u201d Kimmel added.<\/p>\n

Kimmel, 58, then read a tweet that Musk, 54, shared about director Nolan\u2019s decision to cast a Black woman as Helen of Troy, whose beauty sparked the Trojan War in Greek mythology.<\/p>\n

\u201cMusk posted [on X]<\/a>, \u2018Chris Nolan desecrated \u2018The Odyssey\u2019 so that he would be eligible for an Academy Award.\u201d Kimmel read to his audience. \u201cFollowed by, \u2018Who specifically is a\u2013hole who added DEI lies to Academy Awards eligibility instead of it just being about making the best movie?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel sarcastically dubbed the question \u201ca good\u201d one, quipping, \u201cWhile we\u2019re at it, who specifically is the a\u2013hole who thought this was a cool design for a truck?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, stay in your lane,\u201d he said as an image of Musk\u2019s Tesla Cybertruck was displayed onscreen.<\/p>\n

Page Six has reached out to reps for both Nyong\u2019o and Musk for comment but did not immediately hear back.<\/p>\n

The X owner has been throwing attacks at Nolan online for the past few days.<\/p>\n

When someone asked, \u201cWhy is Christopher Nolan like so many other directors so keen to race swap white characters?\u201d Musk responded,\u00a0\u201cHe wants the awards.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

The Tesla CEO alleged that the filmmaker, 55, \u201clost his integrity\u201d by casting the Oscar-winning actress in the role.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Musk also tweeted about rumors that transgender actor Elliot Page had been cast as Achilles, the hero of the Trojan War, writing that the idea was \u201cone of the dumbest and twisted things p[he\u2019s] ever heard.\u201d<\/p>\n

After it was announced that Page, 39, would actually portray the character Elpenor, the SpaceX founder \u2014 who is estranged from his trans daughter, Vivian<\/a> \u2014 re-posted a tweet that read, \u201cI\u2019m not mocking her masculinity. I\u2019m denying its existence.\u201d<\/p>\n
