Donald Trump Jr. <\/a>married Bettina Anderson in the Bahamas over Memorial Day weekend, a wedding that sparked significant controversy. And it was not necessarily because of who was getting married, but because of who attended and who didn\u2019t. President Trump<\/a> announced he would be skipping the event, citing the demands of the presidency, but he wasn\u2019t the only one. Despite older siblings Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany attending, Barron Trump also skipped his older brother\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n

RadarOnline.com<\/a> is reporting that Barron, his father, and his mother, Melania, skipped the ceremony altogether. People<\/a>, however, reports that President Trump and first lady Melania<\/a> are hoping to host a celebration for the couple at the White House. No reason for Barron\u2019s absence was given.<\/p>\n

Trump Jr. and Anderson reportedly married in a private ceremony on May 21 at the West Palm Beach home of Bettina\u2019s sister, Kristina McPherson, according to a marriage certificate obtained by the\u00a0Daily Mail<\/a>. Then they headed to the Bahamas for a celebration that included close friends and family. The list was reportedly kept deliberately small amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Reportedly, the two got married in Norman\u2019s Cay in the Exumas, one of the Bahamas\u2019 most luxurious destinations, only accessible by charter plane or private boat.<\/p>\n

After the wedding, Anderson shared a couple of romantic posts on Instagram Stories. One was a black-and-white photo of the wedding bands, with the caption \u201cForever yours, forever mine,\u201d alongside a white heart emoji.<\/p>\n

She later posted, \u201cThe whole point is to marry your best friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

The wedding family drama comes after reports that Barron doesn\u2019t really get along with Trump\u2019s other kids<\/a>, Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany. The oldest three were born first, from Trump\u2019s marriage to Ivana Trump. Tiffany, meanwhile, is the daughter of Trump\u2019s second wife, Marla Maples. Barron is Melania and Donald Trump\u2019s only son.<\/p>\n

RadarOnline<\/a> recently reported that\u00a0Barron and his siblings<\/a>\u00a0don\u2019t really get along, and Melania is partly to blame. One Reddit user wrote: \u201cBarron is less than half their age and the son of his dad\u2019s third wife. They never lived together or spent much meaningful time together, the way siblings usually do.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Barron turned 20, his older siblings were reportedly not invited to the party. And according to\u00a0Rob Shuter<\/a>, that wasn\u2019t a mistake. \u201cThey\u2019re not close \u2014 at all,\u201d\u00a0one source told Shuter.\u00a0\u201cThis wasn\u2019t an oversight. They were left off the list.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMelania is in charge, and she wanted this to be about Barron \u2014 not about Donald Trump, and not about his other children,\u201d\u00a0an insider said. \u201cThis was a small, controlled, private celebration,\u201d\u00a0the source added.\u00a0\u201cAnd certain people were simply not included.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sources also told the Hollywood insider, \u201cBarron didn\u2019t grow up with them in the same way,\u201d\u00a0adding,\u00a0\u201cThere isn\u2019t a real bond there.\u201d<\/p>\n

And Melania was said to have no interest in pretending otherwise. \u201cShe\u2019s always kept Barron separate,\u201d\u00a0the source said.\u00a0\u201cThis just made it obvious.\u201d If one needs a reason why she and her son didn\u2019t attend Donald Trump Jr.\u2019s wedding, there\u2019s one right there.<\/p>\n
