April 10 (Reuters) – Trump Media & Technology Group said on Friday that Eric Swider, a \u200ckey figure in the company’s public \u200clisting, had resigned from its board.<\/p>\n
Swider was the CEO of \u200bthe blank-check acquisition company behind Trump Media’s public listing in 2024, guiding it through a delayed merger due to regulatory scrutiny.<\/p>\n
The blank-check firm, \u200cDigital World Acquisition \u2060Corp, settled fraud charges with the U.S. securities regulator in 2023 over \u2060allegations that it misled investors by failing to disclose in filings that it had planned \u200bto acquire \u200bTrump Media and \u200bpursued the deal before \u200cits initial public offering.<\/p>\n
Swider’s resignation was not linked to any dispute with management or the board, Trump Media said.<\/p>\n
Trump Media & Technology Group, known for its Truth Social platform, has faced \u200cchallenges in scaling its media \u200bbusiness amid competition from \u200blarger social networks \u200band uneven user growth.<\/p>\n
