Queen Bona is the titular heroine of a new work by Zygmunt Krauze, not long ago first staged in Kraków, now – quite unprecedentedly for a Polish opera – to be shown at the Teatro Petruzzelli within an official cooperation between the Opera in Kraków and Fondazione Lirico Sinfonica Petruzzelli e Teatri di Bari.
The Italian premiere of „Bona Sforza” is scheduled for September 14.
Zygmunt Krauze spoke to Elżbieta Krajewska about his experiences in composing and staging the opera in Poland – and about some new projects of his with entirely different to European musical inspirations.
