ABU DHABI – Etihad Airways is increasing capacity across its network in response to strong demand, adding more flights to Brussels and Kraków, confirming Abu Dhabi-Dhaka as a year-round route, and extending seasonal services to Zanzibar and Palma de Mallorca.
The changes come as the airline continues to see strong demand across community, leisure and business travel markets.
The additional capacity aims to provide more choice for guests travelling to, from and through Abu Dhabi.
Dhaka flights
The Abu Dhabi-Dhaka route, which launched on 26 June with a sold-out inaugural flight, has now been confirmed as a year-round service following strong passenger demand. The route operates four times a week on the Boeing 777, featuring 28 seats in Business Class and 374 seats in Economy Class.
Etihad has officially launched flights to Dhaka, with its inaugural service departing fully booked.
Operating four times weekly, the new route strengthens travel, trade, and cargo links between the UAE and Bangladesh, connecting more communities through Abu Dhabi.

The service supports travel for the large Bangladeshi community across the UAE while also carrying substantial belly-hold cargo, helping strengthen trade connections between the two countries.
Zanzibar flights
Etihad has extended its seasonal Abu Dhabi-Zanzibar service until 31 March 2027, significantly beyond its previous September end date. The extension reflects continued demand for travel to the Indian Ocean island destination.
The route offers travellers longer access to Zanzibar, known for its turquoise waters, spice plantations and the UNESCO-listed historic streets of Stone Town, making it a popular destination within Etihad’s growing network.
Palma flights
The seasonal Abu Dhabi-Palma service to Mallorca has been extended until 18 October 2026. Operated by the Airbus A321LR, the route will provide travellers with more opportunities to visit the Balearic island later into the autumn season.
Mallorca continues to attract visitors with its beaches, hidden coves, clear waters, historic Palma old town and the mountain landscapes of the Serra de Tramuntana.
Kraków flights
Etihad will increase its Abu Dhabi-Kraków service to four flights per week from 27 July 2026, up from three weekly flights. The seasonal route will continue to operate using the A321LR following strong demand for travel to southern Poland.
The increased frequency strengthens connections between Abu Dhabi and Kraków, a city recognised for its historic Old Town, medieval market square and Wawel Castle.
Brussels flights
The Abu Dhabi-Brussels route will increase to 11 flights per week from 15 December 2026, compared with seven currently. The additional four weekly services will operate on the three-cabin Airbus A321LR, offering First, Business and Economy Class options.
The increased schedule will provide more flexibility for travellers between the UAE and Belgium while supporting growing demand across the route.
Etihad’s network
The additional services build on Etihad’s continued network expansion as the airline grows its fleet and responds to changing travel demand across international markets.
Arik De, Etihad Airways Chief Revenue & Commercial Officer, said: “The response from our guests has exceeded our expectations, with strong demand across very different markets, from Brussels and Dhaka to Kraków, Zanzibar and Palma, and we’re responding by adding capacity where demand is strongest.”
He added that the additional flights and extended seasonal services would bring more visitors to Abu Dhabi while strengthening connections across the airline’s expanding global network.
