POLAND OH- Poland didn’t waste any time turning this one into a track meet—17-0 over Struthers, and it was all gas from the jump.
Sydney Bulick was the engine. Four hits, four RBI, and she was spraying it all over the yard—two-run knock in the first, RBI double in the second, and kept it rolling from there.
Poland punched first and never looked back. Madison Medvec worked a bases-loaded walk to crack the scoreboard, Bulick followed with a two-run single, and Brooklyn Kosco cashed another with a groundout to make it 4-0 before Struthers could blink.
Then came the crooked number. Eight runs in the second, bats going loud up and down the lineup. Ali Blinsky ripped a two-run single, Medvec doubled one in, Bulick stayed hot with another RBI knock, and Leanna Boccieri cleared the bases with a three-run triple that blew it wide open.
They kept stacking in the third—Blinsky laced an RBI double, Bulick knocked in another, Addison Draa and Avery Jakubovic each brought one home to push it to runaway territory.
In the circle, Poland was just as sharp. Blinsky got things started, and Medvec slammed the door with three hitless innings, fanning five. Struthers managed just one hit on the day, with Riley Guy accounting for it.
Poland finished with 14 knocks and worked 12 walks—just constant traffic, all game long. Bulick and Blinsky led the hit parade with four apiece, and Jakubovic kept the pressure on with three free passes.
Struthers did turn a double play, but there just wasn’t much stopping the avalanche. Next up, Poland hits the road to take on Niles.
