NILES OH- Poland rolled into Niles and flat-out unloaded—Lady Bulldogs put up crooked numbers early and never looked back in a beatdown of the Red Dragons.
This one was all about Cassie Blanch. The junior first baseman went nuclear—three knocks, six RBIs, and two bombs… in the same inning. Yeah, you read that right. Blanch took one deep for two in the second, came back around, and did it again. Niles had no answer.
Poland hung six in the first, then blew it wide open with a nine-spot in the second. By the time the dust settled, they racked up 20 hits and had this one on cruise control.
The lineup was a carousel all day, with Kristina Kushner and Ali Blinsky staying perfect at the dish, each going 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Avery Jakubovic and Leanna Boccieri both chipped in multi-hit days, each lacing a double and driving in a run. Madison Medvec, Sydney Bulick, and Lena Schafer all squared balls up as well, collecting two hits apiece, each adding a double and knocking in runs. Lily Madeline joined the extra-base party with a double of her own in the fourth.
In the circle, Medvec was dealing—two innings, six punchouts, giving up just two hits and a run. Addie Draa came in and kept things quiet, scattering a couple hits over two innings.
Niles got a double from Mia Myers and a knock from Julie Burke for their lone RBI, but this one got out of hand early.
