Paysafe has expanded its European digital payments strategy with the launch of PaysafeWallet in Poland, introducing a digital wallet that combines account-based payments, money transfers, cash top-ups and debit card functionality within a single mobile application.

Paysafe expands European digital wallet to Poland
The launch builds on the strong adoption of PaysafeCard in the Polish market and reflects growing demand for payment solutions that allow consumers to move seamlessly between cash and digital payment methods.
Bringing Payments Together in One Wallet
PaysafeWallet is designed to consolidate everyday financial services into a single platform. Users receive a personal payment account with an International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and a virtual debit card, enabling them to make online and in-store purchases, transfer money to other users, send and receive bank transfers, and withdraw cash when required.
The wallet also supports cash top-ups, preserving one of Paysafe’s traditional strengths while extending its proposition into broader digital financial services.
Existing PaysafeCard customers can activate the wallet directly within the current mobile application, while new users can register through the PaysafeCard app on Android and iOS.
Targeting Digitally Native Consumers
Paysafe says the launch has been designed with younger, digitally native consumers in mind, reflecting changing expectations around speed, flexibility and convenience in everyday payments.
Bob Legters, Chief Product Officer at Paysafe, said today’s consumers expect payment services to move as quickly as the rest of their digital lives. By combining a mobile-first debit card with multiple funding options, including cash, Paysafe aims to offer customers greater flexibility without requiring them to abandon their preferred payment habits.
The approach reflects a broader trend within the European payments market, where providers are increasingly combining digital wallets, account-based payments and traditional cash services into integrated financial ecosystems.
Supporting Continued European Growth
According to Paysafe, approximately 600,000 customers have joined PaysafeWallet across Europe during the past 18 months, demonstrating growing demand for digital wallets that support both online and physical commerce.
The Polish rollout represents another step in the company’s wider European expansion strategy, as competition intensifies among payment providers seeking to become consumers’ primary everyday financial application.
Rather than positioning cash and digital payments as competing alternatives, Paysafe continues to focus on offering customers the flexibility to use both. As consumer payment preferences become increasingly diverse, hybrid wallet models that combine traditional payment methods with modern digital capabilities are likely to play an increasingly important role across Europe’s evolving payments landscape.
